Frequently Asked Questions

Where does this specification data come from?

Every specification is sourced from the U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR certified product datasets, published under the EPA Data License and refreshed daily.

Does this cover every commercial refrigeration model?

It covers every ENERGY STAR certified model. Non-certified equipment is not included in the ENERGY STAR datasets and therefore does not appear here.

What does the GWP rating mean?

Global Warming Potential measures a refrigerant’s climate impact relative to CO₂. R-290 has a GWP of 3; older refrigerants such as R-404A exceed 3,900 and are being phased down.

Can I download the manufacturer manual?

We link to manufacturer documentation at its original source rather than rehosting it, so you always get the current revision.

How do I find my model number?

On most commercial refrigeration units the data plate is inside the door frame or on the rear panel near the compressor compartment.
